About Us

Skyhawk Press was created by Alisha & Josh (and our little dog Zooey) who were looking to do something a little more creative. We formally launched in early 2010 and finally began full-service operations in June.

From there we began designing and printing our own line of wedding invitations and moved on to custom clothing. Having both come from dedicated military families (and being a military family ourselves) we also have been coming up with cute and creative products for all of those who serve. Our range of submarine-inspired clothing can be found at the Bangor Sub Base Dolphin Store, as well as on our Etsy page (www.etsy.com/shop/skyhawkpress).

Our aim is to give each and every one of our customers high-quality, long-lasting products. Because we are an in-house shop we have no "middle man" and can pass that savings on to you. The highlight of our day is being able to turn a customer's idea into reality.

A big thank-you goes out to the following who have helped us get things going: Denise & Rob Tremaine, German (the brilliant photographer whose work is throughout the site) & Michelle Sotelo, Val & Steve Yang, and Katie Chapman.

Skyhawk Press is named after our beloved Grandpa Stan, who recently passed away. A keen pilot and storyteller, his most prized posession (after his family) was his 172P which he always called his 'Skyhawk'. We think of him constantly and when starting up our shop decided to name ourselves after him and his plane as an ongoing tribute.
